Time flies when you're having fun that's for sure! We can't believe that after 12 years of brewing we finally hit Batch 1000. Yes that's right, 1000 brews at Werk Force. To celebrate this monumental occasion we decided to take it all the way back to where it began.
When Werk Force first opened its doors, Batch #1 was a beer called Pineapple Express—a juicy, hop-forward IPA that would eventually evolve into what many know today as Double Dry Hopped Formerly Known As... Over the years, the recipe was refined, adjusted, and pushed forward, but for this milestone brew, we wanted to revisit our roots. So we dusted off the original recipe and brewed Pineapple Express exactly as it was intended. Bursting with bright pineapple character, citrusy hop aromatics from Citra and Amarillo, and the classic balance that started it all, this beer is a snapshot of Werk Force history in every pint.
From Batch #1 to Batch #1000, this one's for everyone who has been part of the journey. Cheers to where we've been—and where we're headed next.

2026 Family Reserve Bourbon & Rye B.A. Sleepy Bear
Barrel Aged Imperial Stout - 14% ABV
The latest chapter in our Family Reserve series showcases the art of barrel selection and blending. For the 2026 release, we carefully chose and blended Sleepy Bear aged from 2 to 4 years in a combination of Buffalo Trace Bourbon and Buffalo Trace Rye whiskey barrels, creating a layered and exceptionally refined barrel-aged experience. Rich notes of dark chocolate, caramelized sugar, vanilla, and oak intertwine with the subtle spice and depth contributed by the rye barrels. The result is a silky, full-bodied imperial stout with remarkable complexity, balancing decadent sweetness with warming barrel character and a lingering finish. Crafted for savoring and worthy of the Family Reserve name, this special release represents some of the finest barrels from this year's Sleepy Bear cellar.
